17 County Men Leave for Service in Army

Seventeen Eau Claire county men left on the "400 Friday afternoon for the Army reception center at Ft. Sheridan to begin service for Uncle Sam.

Thirteen from the city of Eau Claire assembled at Headquarters of the draft board No. 1 in the post office building and for from communities outside the city assembled at headquarters of Board No. 2 at the court house annex. Gifts were presented each man by the Women's Auxiliary of the USO canteen.
