Mr. and Mrs. B. Brian of 928 Barland Street, announce the engagement of their daughter, Arline Beverly, to Lieutenant Harlan R. Petersburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Petersburg of Melrose, formerly of Minneapolis, MN.

Lieutenant Petersburg has just received his navigator's commission at San Marcos, TX, where he has been stationed since July. He was classified at Santa Ana, CA, where he also took his pre-flight training. Following this, he was stationed at Kingman, AZ; later going to San Marcos, TX.

Miss Brian is employed in the office of the Midelfort Clinic. No date has been set for the wedding.


Arline Brian, Lt. Petersburg Wed at Tonopah
The marriage of Miss Arline Beverly Brian, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Brian of this city, and Lieutenant Harlan Ray Petersburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Petersburg of Melrose, took place on January 3 at Tonopah, NV.

Vows were exchanged at a candlelight ceremony performed at 8 in the evening at the Air Base Chapel by Chaplain K.W. Tuttle.

The bride, who was given in marriage by Lieutenant Robert C. Leslie, pilot of the crew on which the groom is navigator, marched down the aisle to the strains of the Lohengrin wedding march. The organist also played I Love You Truly and Beautiful Dreamer, during the ceremony. Attendants were Lieutenant and Mrs. Edwin L. Shore. Lieutenant Shore is co-pilot of the crew.

The bride wore a delft blue crepe dress with black accessories and an orchid corsage. Mrs. Shore wore pink wool with a gardenia corsage.

Lieutenant and Mrs. Petersburg are making their home in Tonopah for the present.
