The bride wore a gown of ivory satin with a fingertip illusion veil and carried a white prayer book from which fell three white roses tied in lover's knots. The bridesmaid, Miss Vernetta Mason, sister of the bride, wore a gown of pink taffeta and chiffon with a matching Juliet cap. She carried a small colonial bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The groom was attended by Carol Vancura. Following the ceremony, a dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents. The reception was held immediately. Afterward, Ensign and Mrs. Hawn left for a short wedding trip. They plan to make their home in Washington, DC where the bride has been employed for the past year.
