|Four 17 Year Old Eau Claire Youths Enlisted in Navy|
|Four young men were enlisted in the Navy through the
Chippewa Falls Recruiting Office, according to R. W. Shuey, Recruiter in
Charge, this week.
They included Edwin O. Michealson, 624 Summer Street; Earl G. Meyers, Route 4; William. J. Beaulieu, 2805 Conrad Street; and Mark M. Flick, 656 Galloway Street.
All four young men attended Eau Claire High School, Michealson and Meyers being graduates and Beaulieu and Flick still students. Edwin Michealson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Michealson. The elder Michealson served in World War I in the 86th Division of the U.S. Army.
Enlistments of young men, 17 years of age, are continuing in full force, Chief Shuey said, with particular emphasis on the Navy's RADAR program. Those interested in preparing themselves for a post-war trade, accepting the Navy's offer of a $5,000 education equal to two years of college, are invited to see the Navy Recruiter for complete information at no obligation.
