| Mrs. Marcia C. Peterson, 726 Fifth Avenue, Eau Claire,
daughter of. Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Toycen, Colfax, WI, has been accepted by
the WAAC and has been ordered to report for active duty at Fort Des
Moines, IA, on February 15.
Mrs. Peterson graduated from the Colfax High School in 1939 and attended Stout Institute at Menomonie for one year. She worked as Office Assistant to Dr. L. G. Culver until his appointment to the U.S. Navy and, since that time, has worked as Office Assistant to Dr. J. W. Lowe. Mrs. Peterson's husband, Private First Class Willard D. Peterson, is in the Quartermaster Division of the U.S. Army Air Corps and, at present, is serving in New Guinea. Mrs. Peterson has a brother, Dermont Toycen, Jr., in the U.S. Army Air Corps, who is a Japanese prisoner of war in the Philippine Islands, and another brother, Roderick M. Toycen, in the U.S. Navy, stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station at Great Lakes, IL. |
