Missing on Flight in Asiatic Area
2ND LT. ROBERT TUSKEN 
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tusken, Route 5, have received word from the War Department that their son, Second Lieutenant Robert Tusken, has been missing in flight somewhere in the Asiatic area since December 26. 

Lieutenant Tusken is a graduate of the Eau Claire High School and attended State Teachers College here for two years. 

He entered the Armed Services in November 1941. He received his "wings" and commission at Lubbock Field, Texas. He had bombardier training at Big Springs and Childress, Texas. He was transferred to the Army Transport Corps just before leaving the United States. He arrived in India on June 19 and has written his parents of making  flights between India and China.

Mr. and Mrs. John M. Tusken, Route 5, Eau Claire, have received a telegram from the War Department at Washington, DC advising them their son, Lieutenant Robert A. Tusken, U.S. Army Transport Corps, previously reported missing in action in flight somewhere in the Asiatic area since December 26, is a prisoner of war of the Japanese.
